Jesus was not born on December 25 says Pope Benedict XVI

FROM: http://newsfeed.time.com/2012/11/22/pope-benedict-disputes-jesus-date-of-birth/#ixzz2DMeSQ8rd

Pope Benedict XVI has revealed in the third installment of his trilogy, dedicated to the life of Christ, that Jesus may have been born earlier than previously thought. The calendar we use today, which commences with the birth of Christ and was created by a Dionysius Exiguus, a 6th century monk, may be mistaken. According to the Telegraph, the Pope explains in his book that Exiguus, who is considered the inventor of the Christian calendar, “made a mistake in his calculations by several years. The actual date of Jesus’ birth was several years before.” The suggestion that Jesus wasn’t actually born on Dec. 25 has been tirelessly debated by theologians, historians and spiritual leaders, but what makes this case different is that now the leader of the Catholic Church is the one asking the questions.

Pope Benedict’s book, Jesus of Nazareth: The Infancy Narratives, was published on Tuesday. Like the previous two installments, it’s predicted to be a best seller, and a million copies of the book have already been printed. It is expected that the book will be translated into another 20 languages for publication in 72 countries. The Infancy Narratives follows the life of Jesus from conception to his presentation in the temple at the age of 12. The Pope describes this third book as a “small antechamber” to the trilogy on Jesus of Nazareth, reports the Vatican Press Office.

Pope Benedict makes some controversial statements in the book. He writes of how the Gospel of Matthew claims that Jesus was born when Herod the Great ruled in Judea. However, given that Herod died in 4 B.C., Jesus must have been born earlier than Exiguus originally documented. Arguments surrounding Jesus’ exact date of birth have confounded scholars for centuries. Even the Gospel of Luke contends that the birth took place when Quirinius was governor of Syria in A.D. 6.

The author takes the opportunity not only to dispute the date of Jesus’ birth, but also to reaffirm the doctrine of the virgin birth as an “unequivocal” truth of faith. Reuters writes that Benedict reminds his readers that sexual intercourse did not play a part in the conception of Jesus. He states that a belief in the virgin birth of Christ is a “cornerstone of faith” and a sign of “God’s creative power.” “If God does not also have power over matter, then he simply is not God,” the Pope argues. “But he does have this power, and through the conception and resurrection of Jesus Christ he has ushered in a new creation.”

Pope Benedict also examines the “question of interpreted history,” referring in particular to the attempts of the Gospels, like those of Matthew and Luke, to make sense of events after they had occurred, notes Reuters. “The aim of the evangelists was not to produce an exhaustive account,” the Pope explains, “but a record of what seemed important for the nascent faith community in the light of the word. The infancy narratives are interpreted history, condensed and written down in accordance with the interpretation.”

There have been countless interpretations of the birth, life and death of Christ throughout history. One such interpreter is Bill Darlison, former Unitarian Church minister and current vice president of the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches in the United Kingdom. Like others before him, he asks whether Christ was actually born on Dec. 25 or whether perhaps he was born “on one of about 150 other dates which have been proposed down through the centuries. Was he born in Nazareth or in Bethlehem and, if Bethlehem, was it Bethlehem in Judea or Bethlehem in Galilee?” He also argues that the spiritual birth “is always a virgin birth, because it is not related in any sense (except symbolically) to physical birth.” In 2004, TIME asked the same question, with David Van Biema wondering if “one might be tempted to abandon the whole Nativity story as ‘unhistoric,’ mere theological backing and filling.”

The historical revisionism continues with the Pope raising the issue of the presence of animals at the birth of Christ. He reveals in Jesus of Nazareth that “there is no mention of animals in the Gospels.” This may come as a shock to the thousands of schools currently preparing their Nativity plays. But Pope Benedict reassures his readers not to worry — that “no one will give up the oxen and the donkey in their Nativity scenes,” notes the Telegraph. Even if animals did not feature at the birth, the Vatican seems happy to keep up the myth as it presents an elaborate life-size Nativity scene in St. Peter’s Square this Christmas.

Jesus of Nazareth: The Infancy Narratives is available in English and published by Image Books. It follows the first two books, which dealt with Christ’s adult life and death.

Felix Y. Manalo, the shepherd in John 10:16

In the Bible, the Shepherd of the Christians is no other than our Lord Jesus Christ:

1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

1 Peter 2:25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

The one who bare our sins in his own body on the tree is Lord Jesus only THE ONE IS OUR SHEPHERD:

1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

Limbo does not exist, says Pope

What is Limbo according to the Catholic Church's teachings?

Humans Souls are Purged by Jesus Christ in this world and not in Purgatory

II TIMOTHY 3:16 (THE AMERICAN STANDARD VERSION)
Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness.

All Scriptures inspired of God are profitable for:
•        Teaching
•        Reproof
•        Correction
•        Instruction

These are the main concerns of every Scripture inspired of God! Historical wise, Scriptures teach, reprove, correct and instruct in righteousness.
The long history of the Israelites as a people teaches every generation thereafter with correction, reproof and instruction.

I CORINTHIANS 10:6, 11
6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Prophetic wise, all Scriptures inspired of God, convey the same thoughts and intent.

DEUTERONOMY 28:47-48
47 Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

JEREMIAH 25:11
And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

All matters of faith must be learned from the inspired Scriptures, no more, no less!

I CORINTHIANS 4:6 (REVISED STANDARD VERSION)
I have applied all this to myself and Apol’los for your benefit, brethren, that you may learn by us not to go beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up in favor of one against another.
“…that you may learn by us not to go beyond what is written…”

Why not go beyond?
Because they were written by the commandment of the Lord.

I CORINTHIANS 14:37
If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

REVELATION 21:5
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Any article or matter of faith not written in the Scriptures should not be accepted by a prudent servant of God.

GALATIANS 1:8
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Beliefs not written in the Scriptures come from satan!

II CORINTHIANS 11:3-4, 13-15
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Teachings coming from satan through his ministers are camouflaged to make it appear as though they were of God!

Alleging that the doctrine of purgatory is in the Latin Bible is a clear manifestation of doctrinal bankruptcy! It’s clear that it is not in the Hebrew and Greek Bible, the original languages used in the writing of the sacred Scriptures! And to claim that the Bible is a book owned by the Catholic Church, is another blatant stupid claim. The official name of the Catholic Church only formulated in the late 19th century is, “The Holy Roman Catholic Apostolic Church”.

Roman Catholic

Why is the original Bible not written in the language of Rome but instead in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic which were never the official language of the Roman Catholic Church? The answer is inevitable: the Bible is not a book owned and written by Roman Catholics! It will be a pity to all Bible-believing people if Roman Catholics were the ones who wrote it!

Sins are purged not in the afterlife but here on earth!
The word used by Paul in his writing to the Hebrews, in the Greek Scriptures is καθαρισμός.

HEBREWS 1:3
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

καθαρισμός
katharismos (kath-ar-is-mos’)
From G2511; a washing off, that is, (ceremonially) ablution, (morally) expiation: – cleansing, + purge, purification, (-fying).

The Hebrew synonym (because he was writing to the Hebrews) is כּפר
kâphar (kaw-far’)

A primitive root; to cover (specifically with bitumen); figuratively to expiate or condone, to placate or cancel: –appease, make (an) atonement, cleanse, disannul, forgive, be merciful, pacify, pardon, to pitch, purge (away), put off, (make) reconcile (-liation).

(Strong’s Hebrew and Greek Dictionaries, Dictionaries of Hebrew and Greek Words taken from Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance by James Strong, S.T.D., LL.D., 1890.)

Whether in Hebrew or in Greek, the phrase, purge our sins, translated in Latin as “purgationem peccatorum” means an act of atonement, the cleansing or ablution of sins, not a place which the Catholics were made to believe as “purgatory”.

HEBREWS 1:3
 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Before sitting on the right hand of the Majesty on High, “when He had by himself purged our sins,”means, that the purging was done while He was still on earth.
The earth is our home in this age, and the world to come will be our home in eternity.

Our home in this present age is:

THE ACTS 17:26
 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

Our home in eternity will be:

JOHN 14:1-3
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

REVELATION 21:1-2
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Our earth or our home on this present age is the right place for the purging of our sins. This is the very reason why He came to this earth!

MATTHEW 1:21
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

How did He purge the sins of His people? By offering His body as a ransom for our sins.

HEBREWS 10:12
But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;

HEBREWS 10:10
By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Being baptized as the Lord Jesus commanded is the way for us to be covered by the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus.

THE ACTS 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

THE ROMANS 6:4, 6
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

The purging of our sins must be done in this life on earth for us to be prepared to enter the abode of God and the Lord Jesus.

ECCLESIASTES 9:10
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

REVELATION 21:22, 27
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Souls of God’s servants rest in God’s domain and are not being purged in purgatory!

REVELATION 6:9-11
9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Will there be a stopover in purgatory? NONE! Why? Because there is no purgatory!

Suicide Attacks (Martyrdom)

Question:

Are suicide bombings justified or condemned under Islam?

Summary Answer
:

Suicide is against Islam.  Martyrdom is not.
"Suicide bomber" is a derogatory term invented in the West to try and describe what in Islam is known as a Fedayeen or Shahid... a martyr.  The point of the bomber isn't suicide - it is to kill infidels in battle.  This is not just permitted by Muhammad, but encouraged with liberal promises of earthy rewards in heaven, including food and sex.

The Qur'an:

Qur'an (4:74) - "Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward."

Qur'an (9:111) - "Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur'an: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme."

Qur'an (2:207) - "And there is the type of man who gives his life to earn the pleasure of Allah..."

Qur'an (61:10-12) "O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a bargain that will save you from a grievous Penalty? That ye believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that ye strive (your utmost) in the Cause of Allah, with your property and your persons: That will be best for you, if ye but knew! He will forgive you your sins, and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, and to beautiful mansions in Gardens of Eternity: that is indeed the Supreme Achievement."  This verse was given at the battle Uhud and uses the Arabic word, Jihad.

The dark-eyed virgins are mentioned in several places as well, including verses 44:54 and 52:20.  For those who swing the other way, there are "perpetual youth" verse 6:17, otherwise known as "boys" verses 52:24 and 76:19.

Qur'an (17:33) "And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right" An important verse that is used by Shahid to not only justify their own deaths, but that of other bystanders who might be believers as well.  The end justifies the means, with the goal being the defeat of the kafir and the establishment of Islamic rule.

From the Hadith:

Bukhari (52:54) - The words of Muhammad: "I would love to be martyred in Al1ah's Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred."  This is why modern-day Jihadists often say that they love death.

Muslim (20:4678) - During the battle of Uhud, Muhammad was desperate to push men into battle.  He promised paradise for those who would martyr themselves, prompting a young man who was eating dates to throw them away and rush to his death.

Muslim (20:4655) - A man asks Muhammad "which of men is the best?"  Muhammad replies that it is the man who is always ready for battle and flies into it "seeking death at places where it can be expected."  (Tellingly perhaps, the next most saintly man in Islam is the hermit who lives in isolation "sparing men from his mischief.")

Muslim (20:4681) - "Surely, the gates of Paradise are under the shadows of the swords."  After hearing Muhammad say that martyrdom leads to paradise, a young man pulls his sword and breaks the sheath (indicating that he has no intention of returning) then flings himself into battle until he is killed.

Muslim (20.4635) - "Nobody who enters Paradise will (ever like to) return to this world even if he were offered everything on the surface of the earth (as an inducement) except the martyr who will desire to return to this world and be killed ten times for the sake of the great honour that has been bestowed upon him."

Additional Notes:
A suicide bombing is really an act of homicide.  When Muslim apologists in the West say that Islam is against such practices by pointing to the hadith that oppose killing oneself, such as Bukhari (23:446), they are being disingenuous.  Muslims in the Arab world, who are less concerned about public relations, celebrate and revere suicide bombers, knowing that martyrdom in battle is glorified by their religion.  As the Ayatollah Khomeini once put it, "The purest joy in Islam is to kill and be killed for Allah."

CAIR's Jamal Badawi, often held up as an example of moderate Islam, says "Suicide out of despair is not acceptable…Giving one’s life in a military situation is different and can be heroic if there is no other way of resisting…Killing civilians should be avoided if possible, but not everyone out of uniform is a civilian.”  (One wonders how families of the 12,000 Iraqi civilians killed by suicide bombers would feel about Badawi's armchair analysis).

Another prominent CAIR figure, founder Omar Ahmad, actually praised suicide bombers to a youth convention in 1999: "Fighting for freedom, fighting for Islam, that is not suicide.  They kill themselves for Islam."

Muhammad was quite shrewd in making suicide a crime while at the same time painting paradise in the most prolifically decadent terms - an endless orgy of sex, food, and aesthetic comfort.  The frustration of the young believer, who is convinced that such eternal gratification lies just on the other side of death, but is forbidden from attaining it directly by his own hand, therefore comes to think of martyrdom as a relief - particularly if he is deprived of these comforts in life.  Given this, it's a wonder that suicide bombings aren't more common than they are.

As a side note: the first suicide bomber in history may well have been Amalda de Rocas, a Christian teenage girl who was captured by the Turkish armies that were sent to conquer Cyprus in 1570 for no other reason than that they were not Muslim.  During the campaign, the Muslims slaughtered entire towns (after promising them safe passage) and captured about 2,400 children for transport back to the robust sex slave market in Islamic Turkey.

Amalda, one of the older girls, realized the hell that awaited them and threw a burning torch into a powder keg, blowing up the ship and sparing several hundred Christian children the indignity of sexual exploitation at the hands of the Muslims of the day.

It is probably unfair to compare Amalda's noble and desperate act to the homicidal mass-murder sprees of Muhammad's modern-day Fedayeen, who heap misery onto innocent people simply for the purpose of achieving a gluttonous paradise for themselves... but we thought that it makes for an interesting note.

Killing for Allah to avoid Hell

Question:

Can a Muslim avoid hell by killing for Allah?

Summary Answer
:

All Muslims are to spend time in hell for their sins.  After paying for their sins in this fashion for a time determined by the crime, Muslims will then be allowed into paradise.
Muhammad made an exception for prophets (ie. himself) and for anyone dying in battle for the cause of Allah's religion.

The Qur'an:

Taken together, Sura (69) and verse (84:7-12) present a picture of the reckoning of Muslims on Judgment Day, in which believers are given sentences based on their sins versus good deeds.
Qur'an (19:70-72) - "And surely We are Best Aware of those most worthy to be burned therein.  There is not one of you but shall approach it. That is a fixed ordinance of thy Lord. Then We shall rescue those who kept from evil, and leave the evil-doers crouching there." No person will avoid going to hell, but Muslims will eventually be pulled out.

Qur'an (4:95) - "Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home).  Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward."  Allah distinguishes Muslims from one another based on their willingness to fight and die in Holy War.  Non-violent Muslims will not receive the same reward as the Jihadis.

Qur'an (8:15-16) - "O ye who believe! when ye meet the Unbelievers in hostile array, never turn your backs to them.  If any do turn his back to them on such a day - unless it be in a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own)- he draws on himself the wrath of Allah, and his abode is Hell,- an evil refuge (indeed)!"  Not only does Muhammad lay down the principle that a Muslim can serve time in Hell, but failing to kill unbelievers when directed is a sure way to bring this about.

Qur'an (9:39) - "If ye go not forth He will afflict you with a painful doom..."  It isn't enough to believe.  Muhammad is telling his soldiers (who do not want to fight) that they will be sent to hell if they do not join the battle.

Qur'an (3:169-170) - "Think not of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord; They rejoice in the bounty provided by Allah: And with regard to those left behind, who have not yet joined them (in their bliss), the (Martyrs) glory in the fact that on them is no fear, nor have they (cause to) grieve."  Martyrs go directly from life to paradise, where they wait for those who must first go through the Day of Judgment.

From the Hadith:

Muslim (20:4678) - It has been reported on the authority of Jabir that a man said: "Messenger of Allah, where shall I be if I am killed?" He replied: "In Paradise." The man threw away the dates he had in his hand and fought until he was killed (i. e. he did not wait until he could finish the dates).

Muslim (20:4649) - The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: 'All the sins of a Shahid (martyr) are forgiven except debt.'

Bukhari (52:46) - I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "The example of a Mujahid in Allah's Cause-- and Allah knows better who really strives in His Cause----is like a person who fasts and prays continuously. Allah guarantees that He will admit the Mujahid in His Cause into Paradise if he is killed, otherwise He will return him to his home safely with rewards and war booty."

Abu Dawud (14:2515) - I asked the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him): Who are in Paradise? He replied: "Prophets are in Paradise, martyrs are in Paradise."

Additional Notes:

According to Muhammad, the only sure path to paradise is through Jihad.

Although Muslims are to face the Last Day, where their time in hell is to be determined (with sins weighed against good deeds) Muhammad laid down an exception for martyrs - those who are slain in the cause of Allah - at a time when he conveniently needed them.  They get the fast track to Paradise where they wait on the rest (Qur'an (3:169-170)).  A martyr doesn't necessarily have to have killed anyone, but a Muslim is required to join the battle (if able) and at least make an attempt to kill (Qur'an (9:39)).

Islam's teaching, in this regard, differs from that of other religions and certainly helps explain the violence:

Religion, for many, is often a major stabilizing force.  Islam, however, rather than offering tools to manage such anguish, dramatically promotes internal anxiety by keeping unobtainable any true degree of comfort that one has ultimately pleased Allah enough to avoid Islamic Hell. Mohammad and Islam hates dogs

INTRODUCTION

Muhammad made strange and harsh statements about dogs and these edicts affect dogs in a tragic way. His teachings may have come from cultural bias, Pagan concepts, or his own imagination, but wherever they came from they led to the cruel treatment of dogs.
None of the statements regarding dogs are found in the Quran but they abound in the various collections of traditions (hadith). These traditions are a primary foundation of Islamic theology and are the basis of many Islamic laws. They render dogs as "impure" and worse. Per Muhammad’s orders most dogs were to be killed and all dogs of a specific color (black) had to be killed.
Muhammad claimed to be a prophet of God and as such his word was to be obeyed. With the teeth of Islam biting worldwide it is vital that Muhammad’s teachings be scrutinized to determine if he were a nut or a prophet.

_____________________________________________________________________

STATEMENTS FROM THE HADITH

Below are a number of Hadith on various aspects involving dogs. All Hadith are from the Sahih collections of Bukhari[1] and Muslim[2], or the Sunan of Abu Dawud[3]. After the Quran, Bukhari's set of Hadith are regarded to be the second most important books in Islam, followed closely by the Hadith of Muslim. I quote from these sources to prove that these Hadith are not just a few isolated or unsupported cases. I have sorted Muhammad's statements concerning dogs into 5 categories. All of these illustrate different facets of his beliefs regarding dogs.

1) KILL THE DOGS

From Bukhari Vol. 4, #540

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: Allah's Apostle ordered that the dogs should be killed.
From Abu Dawud #2839
Abd Allah B. Mughaffal reported the apostle of Allah as saying: Were dogs not a species of creature I should command that they all be killed; but kill every pure black one.
The Hadith's note for #2839 says, "The prophet did not order the killing of all the dogs, for some are to be retained for hunting and watching. He ordered to kill the jet black ones. They might be more mischievous among them.
From Muslim #3814
Ibn Mughaffal reported: Allah's messenger ordered the killing of dogs and then said, "what is the trouble with them (the people of Medina? How dogs are nuisances to them (the citizens of Medina)? He then permitted keeping of dogs for hunting and (the protection of) herds. ...[and for] for the protection of cultivated land.
From Muslim #Number 055
Ibn Mughaffal reported: The Messenger of Allah ordered killing of the dogs, and then said: What about them, i. e. about other dogs? and then granted concession (to keep) the dog for hunting and the dog for (the security) of the herd, and said: When the dog licks the utensil, wash it seven times, and rub it with earth the eighth time.
From Muslim #3813
Abu Zubair heard Jabir Abdullah saying: Allah's messenger ordered us to kill dogs and we carried out this order so much so that we also killed the dog roaming with a women from the desert. Then Allah's apostle forbade their killing. He said: "It is your duty to kill the jet-black (dog) having two spots (on the eyes) for it is a devil.
The note for #3814 says,
"The Hadith gives us an idea why the prophet commanded to kill dogs. There must have been an excess of stray dogs and thus the danger of rabies in the city of Medina and its suburbs. The prophet therefore ordered to kill them. Later on when it was found that his Companions were killing them indiscriminately, he forbade them to do so and told them that only the ferocious beasts which were a source of danger to life should be killed. The word "Devil" in the Hadith clarifies this point. Here devil stands for ferocious.
HOWEVER THE REASONING WITHIN THE NOTE ABOVE IS INCORRECT – READ BELOW.

From Muslim #5248
Maimuna reported that one morning Allah’s Messenger was silent with grief. Maimuna said: Allah’s Messenger, I find a change in your mood today. Allah’s Messenger said: Gabriel had promised me that he would meet me tonight, but he did not meet me. By Allah, he never broke his promises, and Allah’s Messenger spent the day in this sad mood. Then it occurred to him that there had been a puppy under their cot. He commanded and it was turned out. He then took some water in his hand and sprinkled it at that place. When it was evening Gabriel met him and he said to him: You promised me that you would meet me the previous night. He said: Yes, but we do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture. Then on that very morning he commanded the killing of the dogs until he announced that the dog kept for the orchards should also be killed, but he spared the dog meant for the protection of extensive fields or big gardens.

COMMENT

These Hadith tell the story of Muhammad's order to kill dogs. Muhammad said he would like to have all dogs killed. He wanted them killed, NOT because packs of dogs were tormenting the citizens of Medina, but rather, because a puppy stopped the mighty angel Gabriel. Muhammad’s solution was to kill the dogs. He first said he wanted all dogs killed but then made exceptions for dogs that are used for farming, hunting, or watching (outside). Further, he ordered that all black dogs be killed and called them "a Satan".

2) COMMERCE IN DOGS

From Bukhari Vol. 3, #299
Narrated 'Aun bin Abu Juhaifa: "My father bought a slave who practiced the profession of cupping. (My father broke the slave's instruments of cupping). I asked my father why he had done so. He replied, "The Prophet forbade the acceptance of the price of a dog or blood, and also forbade the profession of tattooing, getting tattooed and receiving or giving Riba, (usury), and cursed the picture-makers."
From Bukhari Vol. 3, #482
Narrated Abu Mas'ud Al-Ansari: "Allah's Apostle regarded illegal the price of a dog, the earnings of a prostitute, and the charges taken by a soothsayer."
From Muslim #3803
Abu Masud reported that Allah's messenger forbade the charging of price of the dog and earning of a prostitute and sweets offered to a kahin.

COMMENT
Muhammad believed that money made from the sale of a dog (for other than already mentioned purposes) was considered as evil as the money made from prostitution, witchcraft, or usury. Something about dogs disturbed Muhammad deeply.

3) LOSS OF REWARD OF GOOD WORKS FOR OWNING DOGS
From Bukhari Vol. 3, #515
Narrated Abu Huraira: "Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever keeps a dog, one Qirat of the reward of his good deeds is deducted daily, unless the dog is used for guarding a farm or cattle." Abu Huraira (in another narration) said from the Prophet, "unless it is used for guarding sheep or farms, or for hunting." Narrated Abu Hazim from Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "A dog for guarding cattle or for hunting.""
From Muslim Number 3815:
Ibn Umar reported Allah's Messenger as saying: He who keeps a dog other than that meant for watching the herd or for hunting loses every day out of his deeds equal to two qirat.
From Muslim Number 2062:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: He who attends the funeral till the prayer is offered for (the dead), for him is the reward of one qirat, and he who attends (and stays) till he is buried, for him is the reward of two qirats. It was said: What are the qirats? He said: They are equivalent to two huge mountains. Two other narrators added: Ibn 'Umar used to pray and then depart (without waiting for the burial of the dead). When the tradition of Abu Huraira reached him, he said:" We have lost many qirats."

COMMENT

Having a dog as a pet is prohibited in Islam. In fact, if a Muslim keeps a dog as a pet God will take away some heavenly reward for his good deeds! Notice that the amount taken away changed from one to two qirats.

4) DOGS ANNULLING PRAYER

From Bukhari Vol. 1, #490
Narrated 'Aisha: "The things which annul the prayers were mentioned before me. They said, "Prayer is annulled by a dog, a donkey and a woman (if they pass in front of the praying people)." I said, "You have made us (i.e. women) dogs. I saw the Prophet praying while I used to lie in my bed between him and the Qibla. Whenever I was in need of something, I would slip away, for I disliked to face him.""
From Muslim Number 1032
Abu Dharr reported: The Messenger of 'Allah said: When any one of you stands for prayer and there is a thing before him equal to the back of the saddle that covers him and in case there is not before him (a thing) equal to the back of the saddle, his prayer would be cut off by (passing of an) ass, woman, and black Dog. I said: O Abu Dharr, what feature is there in a black dog which distinguish it from the red dog and the yellow dog? He said: O, son of my brother, I asked the Messenger of Allah as you are asking me, and he said: The black dog is a devil.
From Abu Dawud Number 0704:
Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas:
Ikrimah reported on the authority of Ibn Abbas, saying: I think the Apostle of Allah said: When one of you prays without a sutrah, a dog, an ass, a pig, a Jew, a Magian, and a woman cut off his prayer, but it will suffice if they pass in front of him at a distance of over a stone's throw.

COMMENT

These hadith state that if a dog passes in front of people praying it annuls their prayer. Annul means, "to reduce to nothing", or "to make ineffective or inoperative". If a group of people are praying and a dog walks in-between them and the Kaba (in Mecca), then their prayer is made null and void.

5) DOGS STOP THE ANGELS
From Bukhari Vol. 4, #448
Narrated Abu Talha: "I heard Allah's Apostle saying; "Angels (of Mercy) do not enter a house wherein there is a dog or a picture of a living creature (a human being or an animal).""
From Bukhari Vol. 7, #843
Narrated Salim's father: "Once Gabriel promised to visit the Prophet but he delayed and the Prophet got worried about that. At last he came out and found Gabriel and complained to him of his grief (for his delay). Gabriel said to him, "We do not enter a place in which there is a picture or a dog.""
From Muslim, #5276:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: Angels do not accompany the travelers who have with them a dog and a bell.
From Muslim, #5279:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: "The bell is the musical instrument of Satan."
COMMENT

The story behind these hadith was mentioned earlier. A little puppy stopped an angel from entering the house because it was "unclean". Note that angels do not enter a place with a dog, or accompany people who travel with a dog.

A Day in the Life of Prophet Muhammad

One of the greatest mysteries of our world today is that over 1.5 billion people on this planet believe that their prophet Mohammed was the greatest man that ever lived. Even if you just scratch the surface of the man’s life, you realise he was involved in treachery, in violent attacks against unsuspecting tribes, robbing passing caravans for food and booty and personally took part in beheadings as well as entrenching slavery for ever more into Islamic Law and practice.
What a man, I can hear you say already.
In this article we shall look at just one day in the life of Mohammed, the prophet of Allah, and then see what conclusions can be made about this claim that “Mohammed was the greatest man ever”.
Muslims of course also believe in other prophets beside Mohammed, like Moses (Musa) and Jesus (Isa).
Moses from the Old Testament is famous for his Ten Commandments, and you can read how Mohammed fared here in an earlier article Mohammed and the TEN Commandments.

Jesus from the Bible is famous for his Sermon on the Mount also known as the Beatitudes.
They also claim Islam is an Abrahamic faith as they hold that they are from the seed of Ishmael who was the first born of Abraham. However this claim is a false one. Please read ISLAM and the Abrahamic Faith MTYH.

However Muslims are firm in their belief about Mohammed.
A recent exchange with a Muslim blogger went something like this:
Muslim : Mohammed was the greatest man that ever lived
We said: But he took part in beheading 700 Jews of Banu Quraysah!
Muslim : They deserved it as they betrayed Mohammed
We said: And didn’t he lust after Zainab when he saw her expose some flesh in her tent and want her?
Muslim: Well, her marriage to Zaid was not happy and Mohammed wanted to protect her
We said: Isn’t it lucky for Mohammed he received a revelation to abolish adoption else he could not have married her as Zaid was his adopted son?
Muslim: Well, Allah had married them in Heaven, and after all, Allah is Most Wise, Most Forgiving
We said: Didn’t Mohammed stone a woman to death for adultery?
Muslim: Well, she had dishonoured her husband
We said: And didn’t Mohammed put captured people into slavery?
Muslim: That was the accepted practice of the day
We said: Do you still call Mohammed “the greatest man that ever lived?”
Muslim: Absolutely. Mohammed was the greatest man that ever lived.
In order to test this claim, we shall examine but one day in Mohammed’s life.

One Day in May 628AD
Incident #1
Mohammed was short of food so he decided to rob the Jews at Khybar. From the history of al-Tabari: [218]
During the prevailing drought at Medina at that time, a group of B. Aslam who had embraced Islam came to Muhammad for assistance. But Muhammad had nothing to assist them. So he prayed to Allah so that they could plunder the richly laden fortresses of the Khyabar Jews including their luscious green agricultural lands. He said, “O God, Thou knowest their condition—that they have no strength and that I have nothing to give them. Open to them [for conquest] the greatest of the fortresses of Khaybar, the one most abounding in food and fat meat.”
Conclusion #1
This is very clear. Mohammed coveted his neighbour’s food, and in doing so broke the Tenth Commandment of Moses. Commandment No. 10 “You shall NOT covet your neighbour’s goods”.

Incident #2
It is the Islamic custom to raid a place early in the morning invoking the name of Allah. Ibn Ishak writes that the war cry of the Muslims at Khaybar was, ‘O victorious one slay, slay!’.
Volume 1, Book 11, Number 584: Narrated Humaid:
Anas bin Malik said, "Whenever the Prophet went out with us to fight (in Allah's cause) against any nation, he never allowed us to attack till morning and he would wait and see: if he heard Adhan he would postpone the attack and if he did not hear Adhan he would attack them." Anas added, "We reached Khaibar at night and in the morning when he did not hear the Adhan for the prayer, he (the Prophet ) rode and I rode behind Abi Talha and my foot was touching that of the Prophet.
As we have shown in the article ISLAM and the Abrahamic Faith MYTH, Allah is NOT the God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus.
Conclusion #2
By invoking the name of Allah (and NOT YHWH), Mohammed is breaking the First and most important Commandment. Commandment No. 1“I am the Lord your God, you shall have no other Gods before me”.

Incident #3
The leader of the Khybar Jews was a young man called Kinana who Mohammed knew was hiding a great treasure, after being warned by a renegade Jew. So Mohammed tortured Kinana by setting a fire on his chest. The treasure was found and Kinana was killed.
Sourcing Ibn Ishak, Tabari writes:
'Kinanah b. al-Rabi b. al-Huqyaq who had the treasure of B. Nadir was brought to the Messenger of God, who questioned him; but he denied knowing where it was. Then the messenger of God was brought a Jew who said to him, "I have seen Kinanah walk around this ruin every morning." The Messenger of God said to Kinanah: "What do you say? If we find it in your possession, I will kill you." "All right," he answered. The Messenger of God commanded that the ruin should be dug up, and some of the treasure was extracted from it. Then he asked him for the rest of it. Kinanah refused to surrender it; so the Messenger of God gave orders concerning him to al-Zubayr b. al-'Awwam, saying, "torture him until you root out what he has." Al-Zubayr kept twirling his firestick in his breast until Kinanah almost expired; then the Messenger of God gave him to Muhammad b. Maslamah, who beheaded him to avenge his brother Mahmud b. Maslamah."'
Conclusion #3
By taking the treasure and the booty, Mohammed had broken Commandment No. 7 “You shall NOT steal”.
Mohammed  is also guilty of breaking the Commandment No.5  “You shall NOT kill”.
By desiring Kinana’s treasure, Mohammed again breaks Commandment No. 10.

Incident #4
When Muhammad captured Khaybar, he took as a captive, Safiyyah bt Huyayy, a very pretty teenage-girl and purportedly married her without paying her any dowry (mahr). The payment of mahr is compulsory in every Islamic marriage. Safiyya was the wife of Kinana, the man Mohammed had just tortured and killed.
“And give the women (on marriage) their dower as a free gift; but if they, of their own good pleasure, remit any part of it to you, Take it and enjoy it with right good cheer”. [Sura 4.4]
Mohammed however set Safiyya free and claimed that this act of manumission was in place of a dowry.
“Saffiya’s dower for marriage was her manumission…” [Sahih Muslim, 8.3326]
Please note that nowhere in the Qur'an we find that Allah has made it legal to use manumission of a slave-woman to be used as her dowry (mahr).
Conclusion #4
Mohammed had violated the Quran in failing to provide a dowry to Safiyyah on marriage.
By coveting Kinana’s wife, Mohammed brakes Commandment No.9 “You shall NOT covet thy neighbour’s wife”.

Incident #5
On the same day that Mohammed killed Safiyyah’s husband Kinana, he married her and had sex with her on the same night.
[Sahih Bukhari Volume 5, Book 59, Number 523] Narrated Anas bin Malik:
“The Prophet stayed with Safiya bint Huyai for three days on the way of Khaibar where he consummated his marriage with her. Safiya was amongst those who were ordered to use a veil”.
But the Quran stipulates there must be a 3 month wait before remarriage.
“Divorced women shall wait concerning themselves for three monthly periods. Nor is it lawful for them to hide what Allah Hath created in their wombs, if they have faith in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have the better right to take them back in that period, if they wish for reconciliation. And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable; but men have a degree (of advantage) over them. And Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise”. [Sura 2.228]
Conclusion #5
Mohammed did not wait the mandatory three months to marry Safiyyah, so he has violated the Quran in this respect. Also Mohammed was himself married and the blood was still warm in Kinana’s body, so technically Mohammed had broken the Sixth Commandment “Thou shall NOT commit adultery”.

In Summary, in a single day in May 628AD Mohammed violated the Quran twice;
Mohammed worshipped a different God to Abraham, andMohammed broke 6 of the TEN Commandments of Moses.

So how does Mohammed compare to Jesus?
We shall consider a few examples:
Jesus taught that the MEEK will inherit the earth. [Beatitudes Matt 5:2-12]
Mohammed taught that through TERROR you will inherit the earth. [Bukhari 4.220]

Jesus made those who were blind to see. [Luke 18:35-43]
Mohammed put out eyes to make men blind. [Bukhari 8.794]

Jesus made those who were lame to walk. [Matt 9:2-8]
Mohammed cut off feet to make men lame. [Bukhari 8.794]

Jesus healed withered hands. [Matt 12:9-13]
Mohammed cut off hands. [Bukhari 8.795]

Jesus saved an adulterous woman from stoning. [John 8:1]
Mohammed stoned women for adultery. [Muslim 17.4194]

So as it was for Abraham and Moses, so it is with Jesus.
Mohammed acted in a contrary manner to ALL previous teachings.

CONCLUSION
We have examined the actions of the prophet Mohammed in a single day in May 628AD.
What can be concluded is:
  1. Mohammed violated the Quran twice by not providing Safiyya with a dowry and then not waiting the 3 months period as stipulated in the Quran [Sura 2.228]
  2. Mohammed broke 6 of the TEN Commandments of Moses, being:
  • I am the Lord your God, You shall have no other Gods but me [#1}
  • You shall NOT kill [#5]
  • You shall NOT commit adultery [#6]
  • You shall NOT steal [#7]
  • You shall NOT covet thy neighbour’s wife [#9]
  • You shall NOT covet thy neighbour’s goods [#10]
So, was Mohammed the greatest man that ever lived? YOU be the Judge!

UN says access to contraception a human right

Associated Press – Wed, Nov 14, 2012

GENEVA (AP) — The United Nations says access to contraception is a universal human right that could dramatically improve the lives of women and children in poor countries.

It is the first time the U.N. Population Fund's annual report explicitly describes family planning as a human right.

It effectively declares that legal, cultural and financial barriers to accessing contraception and other family planning measures are an infringement of women's rights.

The report released Wednesday isn't binding and has no legal effect on national laws.

The global body also says increasing funding for family planning by a further $4.1 billion could save $11.3 billion annually in health bills for mothers and newborns in poor countries.

The U.N. doesn't count abortion among the measures.

Eating Dinuguan (Refuting that it is not a sin to eat it)

Dinuguan (in Visayan, also called dinardaraan in Ilocano, tid-tad in Pampanga, sinugaok in Batangas, rugodugo in Waray, and sampayna or champayna in Northern Mindanao) is a Filipino savory stew of meat and/or offal (typically lungs, kidneys, intestines, ears, heart and snout) simmered in a rich, spicy dark gravy of pig blood, garlic, chili (most often siling mahaba), and vinegar. The term dinuguan comes from the Filipino word dugo meaning "blood". Possible English translations include pork blood stew or blood pudding stew. It is also sometimes jokingly called chocolate meat.

Catholics disagree to their non Catholic brethen like members of INC of Manalo, ADD of Soriano and the SDA members saying that it is ungodly to eat dinuguan because it was prohibited in the Bible.

In fact, in the Christian era if you'll read the New Testament, eating of blood was prohibited by the law of Jesus Christ:

Acts 15:
29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

It means that the Jewish religion's prohibition of not eating blood together with the meat is still a commandment to Christians:

Deuteronomy 12:23 Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.

Deuteronomy 12:24
Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.

Now let's refute the Catholics' stand that it is not ungodly and unBiblical to eat dinuguan:

1) They use 1 Corinthians 10:25 "Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:"

THE ANSWER: That is right because Lord Jesus said this, in Mark 7:19 "Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats? "

And also by Apostle Paul in Romans 14:20 "For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence."

The reason is:

Romans 14:
14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

It is clearly stated in the Christian doctrine in the Bible that eating the blood is prohibited:

Acts 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well.

2) They use Leviticus 10:18 "Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded."

THE ANSWER:
Do they mean that God contradictiong himself? He was the one who said not to eat the blood together with the flesh in Deuteronomy 12:13-24.

God is not the God of confusion so he is not confused on what He is commanding during the time of Moses:

1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Now, according to Leviticus 10:18, What was the real one that that should have eaten? Is it the blood or the meat?

Leviticus 10:12 And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy:

What is that meat?

Leviticus 10:14 And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons' due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.

God himself commanded to the children of Israel not to eat the fats or the blood:

Leviticus 3:17 It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.

Eating blood during the time of Moses will give you this punishment:

Leviticus 7:27 Whatsoever soul it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.

Now let's answer, What was God's commandment of what to do about the blood if it was prohibited even to his priests during the time of Moses not to eat it?

Leviticus 3:12 And if his offering be a goat, then he shall offer it before the LORD.

Leviticus 3:13 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of it, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle the blood thereof upon the altar round about.

Leviticus 4:30 And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar.

Leviticus 9:12 And he slew the burnt offering; and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled round about upon the altar.

Now what was God's reason why He forbids his servants to eat the blood?

Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

See the blood was being used for the atonement for the soul. This is the reason why after the blood was poured out at the bottom of the altar, the priest shall make an atonement for the who sinned, and God will forgive him.

Leviticus 4:31 And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him.

In the Christian Era (today), the blood of Lord Jesus Christ will cleanse the Christians' sins:

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

3) Third alibi of the Catholics is it is because they drink the blood of Christ.

ANSWER: The blood of Christ when the Christians drank it literally is in the cup and it was from the fruit of the vine and not the blood of an animal that is in the cup.

In fact, since Lord Jesus is not today with us literally, Christians can drink that cup spiritually by means of accepting persecutions.

Matthew 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Lord Jesus asked his Father to let this cup pass from Him by means of escaping the impending arrest of the Jews and put him in death by crucifying Him on the cross.

He in fact drank it spiritually by means of accepting that he should be arrested and then persecuted by his enemies and soon to be killed.

John 18:10 Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

John 18:11 Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?
