The original Quran is changed

Nineteen years after the death of Mohammed, during the re-arrangement process, a commitee of scribes was appointed to make several copies of the Quran to be dispatched to new Islamic lands. The copies were to be made from he original Quran written by Mohammed.

The commitee was overseen by Ali Ibn Abi Taaleb,Uthman Ibn "Affaan,Zeid Ibn Thaabet,Ubayy Ibn Ka'ab,Abdullah Ibn Al-Zubair,Sa'eed IbnAl-Aas,and Abdul Rahman Ibn Al-HaarethIbn Heshaam.

When the scribes reached Sura 9, the scribes who idolized Mohammed added two verses at the end of Sura 9 to honor Mohammed by a majority agreement. Ali Ibn Abi Taaleb was outraged that they changed the text of the Quran. His protest is documented in many references, the most well know is the classic AL ITQAAN FEE 'ULUM AL QURAN.

Uthman was assassinated and Ali was installed as the 4th Khalifa. The result was a 50 year war between Ali Ibn Abi Taaleb and his supporters on one side and the ones who added the verses on the other. Ali was martyred, and eventually his family,Mohammed's family, except for some women and children, were killed. The war ended when Hussein ibn Ali and his family were maretyred in Karbala and the distorters of the Quran won the war, leaving muslims without the actual original worded Quran for the last almost 1400 years.

The Umayyad ruler Marwan Ibn Al-Hakam (died 684 CE) destroyed the original Quran that was written by Mohammed,"fearing the eruption of new disputes". So,in fact, the Quran is changed and still is changed.
