Advantages and Disadvantages of being a bad or good person according in the Bible


A) Advantages of being a good person:

1) Proverbs 22:4 By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.

2) Psalms 34:15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

3) Psalms 97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; He deivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

4) Psalms 37:39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

5) Ecclesiastes 2:26 For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and  knowledge, and joy:

6) Hebrews 13:5 for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

7) Psalms 128:1 Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.

Psalms 128:2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Psalms 128:3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

8) Proverbs 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

9) Proverbs 22:11 He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend

10) Proverbs 3:35 The wise shall inherit glory:

B) Disadvantages of being a good person especially a Christian:

1) 2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

2) Psalms 37:12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

3) Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

  • The eternal reward:
 Matthew 25:46 But the righteous into life eternal

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Revelation 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Revelation 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Revelation 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.


C) Advantages of being a bad person:

1) Psalms 37:35 I have seen the wicked  in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

2) Jeremiah 5:26 For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

Jeremiah 5:27 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

3) John 7:7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

4) Psalms 10:2 In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak,
who are caught in the schemes he devises.

Psalms 10:5 His ways are always prosperous; 
he is haughty and your laws are far from him;
he sneers at all his enemies.

D) Disadvantages of being a wicked person:

1) Colossians 3:25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done:

2) Romans 2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath

3) John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners:

4) Proverbs 1:25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

Proverbs 1:26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

5) Deuteronomy 28:25 The LORD shall cause you to be smitten before your enemies:

6) Ecclesiastes 2:26 But to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.

  • The eternal punishment:

Malachi 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Malachi 4:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.
