The origin of some Jesus' face of the Catholic Church came from some notorious people

The picture of Da Vinci's Last Supper painting

It is said that the model the great artist Leonardo da Vinci used for the figure of Jesus Christ in his painting "The Last Supper" ... is the same model used for Judas!

However, now we know that one of the most iconic pictures of Jesus was actually modelled after Cesare Borgia.

Look at the photos in this link: http://vigilantcitizen.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7077&start=0&sid=a12beae8c2fc7d012eabf1fa51be4328&view=print

The fine features of the man in the Sacred Heart of Jesus picture is actually from the Borgia Prince. The Borgias as you know is the greatest power during the Rennaisance. They were the greatest patrons of Rennaisance art and science. The Rennaisance marks the rebirth of Europe from the Dark Ages as Western Europe finally caught up with the scientific and cultural developments of the Islamic world (Islam never caught up again with Western Europe since the Rennaisance.). We owe a lot to the Borgias for the birth of the Rennaisance.

But on religious perspectives, the Borgias were the worst religious leaders. The Borgia popes and cardinals were the very worst in the entire Christendom. Cesare Borgia, for example, was a son of Pope Alexander VI with a courtesan. As a young prince, he was the inspiration of Machiavelli's famous book, "The Prince". He was also used as the model of what is now the well-known picture of Jesus. The fine features of Jesus face and hands are classic Cesare Borgia. Cesare ended up conquering the Papal States and was known to be brutal and cruel military leader. He had sex with his equally notorious sister Lucrezia and he killed his brother. But he was so good looking that many artists of the day depicted him in art. But the famous Jesus picture is said to have been painted by Da Vinci himself, who was much attracted to Borgia.

So, guys, that is the irony of the Sacred Heart picture. The green eyed, gorgeous looking man in the picture is not quite the sun-burnt, hard-working carpenter of Nazareth, but actually was the pampered Borgia prince.
