MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang on Monday urged the public to make a stand on reproductive health and responsible parenthood.

Deputy Presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said everyone is free to state their position on the issue.

She issued the statement after the Iglesia ni Cristo, some Christian denominations, and even priests expressed their support for the reproductive health (RH) bill.

"Siguro ang maganda lang po dito is that we are encouraging individual thinking in the sense na we really all have to make, as individuals, the choice whether to support something or not,” Valte said.
“Iyun po iyung nagiging maganda dito na lahat po ng ating mga kababayan – because of the debate that is going on – naliliwanagan po sila kung ano po 'yung posisyon ng isa, ano po 'yung posisyon ng kabila at, of course, in a democracy, we are all free to make our own individual decisions," she added.
President Benigno Aquino III made public his stand on responsible parenthood last April 18.
In a post on the official website gov.ph, Aquino laid out a 5-point position on the issue.
The president said that he is against abortion.

“I am in favor of giving couples the right to choose how best to manage their families so that in the end, their welfare and that of their children are best served,” Aquino said.
“The State must respect each individual’s right to follow his or her conscience and religious convictions on matters and issues pertaining to the unity of the family and the sacredness of human life from conception to natural death,” he added.

“In a situation where couples, especially the poor and disadvantaged ones, are in no position to make an informed judgment, the State has the responsibility to so provide,” according to Aquino.

The online supporters pushing for the rejection of the much debated Reproductive Health-Responsible Parenthood Bill created series of graphic images calling the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) "Iglesia ni Satan" after the media release of their official support to the RH Bill pending second reading in Congress.

INC expressed their support through an official letter made October 12, 2010 and was sent to the office of Rep. Rogelio Espina, chair of the House Committee on Population and Family Relations during the height of the House Committee hearings for the RH Bill.

INC's statement, signed by its Executive Minister, Eduardo Manalo, was made public by Bishop Rodrigo Tano, Chair of the Interfaith Partnership for the Promotion of Responsible Parenthood during their weekly forum at the Diamond Hotel last April 18th.

The online Facebook supporters from I Oppose the RH Bill (Photos) further created other defamatory graphic images attacking Atheism and Islam and calling these religions as "Axis of Evil" and that the RH Bill is "Islamization".

Aquino to risk excommunication over responsible parenthood bill

MANILA, Philippines -- President Benigno Aquino III on Sunday said he is firm in his conviction to have the responsible parenthood bill passed despite threats from some sectors to have him excommunicated.

“My conviction is firm to have the responsible parenthood bill passed,” he said in his speech during the 100th general commencement exercises of the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City.

“I am aware there are sectors opposed to this. But I have an obligation as a leader to dialog with all sectors and to calmly explain our position to them, even if some have been calling for my excommunication.”

“We have to listen to all people even if a lot have observed that their minds are already closed. But in the end, I have to decide. I have to follow my own conscience and I have to do what is right,” the President added.

The Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines last month resumed its dialog with the Palace on the responsible parenthood bill since Church leaders unilaterally withdrew from the meeting on Feb. 20.

The responsible parenthood bill is widely seen as a watered down version of the reproductive health bill.

At the House of Representatives, authors of the reproductive health bill have agreed to amend several provisions of the measure’s consolidated version, including the introduction of a paragraph in the bill making sex education optional.

House Minority Floor Leader Edcel Lagman, one of the proponents of House Bill 4244 or the consolidated RH bill, said he and his co-authors have agreed to give parents the option whether or not their children will attend sex education classes.

The amendment will be added to Section 16 of the consolidated version of the bill when the House resumes sessions after its Lenten break.

The explanation about the evil spirit from the LORD

Again, this is one of the most favorite verse of the Muslims to prove that the Biblical God is like a devil who sends evil spirit mentioned in 1 Samuel 16:14-15.

1 Samuel 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

1 Samuel 16:15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.

Some of the most difficult passages in scripture are those that show God using the devil or evil spirits for His purpose. We know that God is not the cause of wickedness, so it goes against our understanding to think of Him sending evil spirits hither and yon to do His bidding. Yet, we examine scripture and there they are. Let us see if we can make sense of this biblical teaching.

1. First, we must understand that God is not the source of wickedness. The "evil" He creates in Isaiah 45:7 refers to bad things like earthquakes and floods, not to sin or wicked acts (this verse is covered in another question and answer). The Bible teaches that sin originates from the devil (1 John 3:8). He is also the father of the lie and was a murderer from the beginning (John 8:44). On the other hand, God cannot be tempted with evil or wicked acts and He does not tempt any man to commit these acts (James 1:13-14). God is holy and all that springs forth from Him is pure and good.

2. Second, though God is not the source of wickedness, He often uses the wicked to perform His own purpose. Psalm 76:10 states, "Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain." Here we learn that God will take man's wrath toward Him and turn it into praise. That wrath which is not to be turned into God's praise will be restrained.
But how can God use the devil and evil spirits to do His bidding? Perhaps a biblical study of the cause of death would help at this point. On one hand, God is clearly the cause of death. In Deuteronomy 32:39, He declares, "I kill, and I make alive." Hannah, in her prayer of praise, said, "The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up" (1 Samuel 2:6). Exodus 12:23 tells us concerning the first Passover, "For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians." Certainly, God is in charge of taking life.

However, on the other hand, Hebrews 2:14 tells us that Christ came to die on the cross that He might "destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil." The next verse say that the devil holds the lost in bondage through the fear of death. But the problem is clear. If God is in charge of death, how can the devil have the power of death? The answer explains a lot about how God uses the world of the wicked to do His bidding.

The devil by nature is a murderer (John 8:44). His rebellion against God changed his character and has made him a force that naturally kills and destroys all that comes under his power. In Revelation 9:11, he is called Abaddon and Apollyon. Both names mean Destroyer. Paul understands that someone may be delivered "unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh" (1 Corinthians 5:5).

We see this principle in operation in Job. When God turns Job over to Satan the second time, He states, "Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life" (Job 2:6).

If God had allowed him to do so, Satan would have killed Job. Earlier in the story, God did allow Satan to kill the sons and daughters of Job (Job 1:18-19). So, who killed the children of Job? You say, Satan. But even this is not so easy. After they were killed, Job said, "the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD" (Job 1:21).

He gave God the credit for taking his children (also the cattle and other possessions). And, if we reflect on it, we can see that both are true. Satan killed Job's children but God was responsible for allowing them to be killed. He took them away.

So, what about the sending of evil spirits by the Lord? This may be more common in scripture than you think.

In Psalm 78:49, God judged Israel "by sending evil angels among them." In Judges 9:23, "God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem." In 1 Kings 22:22, God sent a "lying spirit" in the mouth of the false prophets to send Ahab to his death. In the passage in question (1 Samuel 16:14-15), God removed His Spirit from the disobedient Saul. This opened the door for an evil spirit to come and torment Saul. Though in this passage, it is only the servants of Saul that said the evil spirit was from the Lord, in other passages (1 Samuel 18:10; 1 Samuel 19:9), the text states that the evil spirit came from the Lord.

What we see in these passages follows a pattern. When God removes His protective hand, he often turns the person over to Satan for destruction or to an evil spirit for torment. The devil and the evil spirits do the work, but God has allowed them to do what come natural to them for His own purpose.

I know that some will have trouble with this concept, but it is thoroughly established in scripture. God does not commit wickedness, but He uses the wicked for His purpose. In the end, God will have His glory. How much better it is for us to submit to Him and obey Him willingly.

What is the meaning of 2 Corinthians 12:16 that the Christians were caught by Apostle Paul's guile?

Have you noticed the verse 15 that is bolded? this is the proof that Apostle Paul is not really after the money of the Corinthian Christians but instead he will be like a parent to them who will spend for them.

In fact, Apostle Paul unlike most preachers today whose source of their living came from their members' contributions do some labor mentioned in Acts 18:3 as a tentmaker.

This is the greatest proof that Apostle Paul will never be a burden to the Christians by getting their money as his own source of income because he also works for his own to sustain himself.

Now I should answer the meaning of the verse being used by the Muslims against the beloved Apostle Paul to prove that he is a deceiver of how we Christians was caught by Apostle Paul's guile? (notice carefully the words I bolded and underlined in the verses)

1 Corinthians 9:18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

With seven Bataan village councils issuing unlawful copycat ordinances of the infamous Ayala Alabang one, it is time to call a spade a spade. This is not about unborn children. This is not about the RH Bill. What we are seeing is a war of attrition against sex, fought one village at a time.

Recently, Congressman and pugilist Manny Pacquiao was quoted as saying that if his parents had used contraceptives, he wouldn’t be here. Many RH opponents like him and Manoling Morato seem to be under the impression that contraceptives are depriving human society of celebrities like Pacquiao. The fact is, the odds against anyone’s birth are astronomical. Having contraceptives in the equation is a drop in the ocean of prerequisites necessary for anyone existing. Your exact set of ancestors going all the way back to the first sexual organism had to meet in the exact set of circumstances that led to your being. The millions in the batch of sperms in which you developed had to lose to you. For men, by choosing not to be procreating right at this moment, the next Einstein is now being reabsorbed into the male genitourinary tract. For women, by not being pregnant right now, the next Shakespeare is now being thrown out on a used tampon. And this is not even the half of it. Successful conceptions prevent the birth of other potential Newtons and Joyces. And these lost geniuses go unnoticed because they don’t exist and probably never will. If you weren’t here to exist, someone else will be.

Contraceptives do not make it any less likely in any significant way that any specific person will be born. The failure to understand this simple fact is what makes anti-choice superstars like former Chief Justice Davide embarrass themselves by disgustingly decrying contraceptives as worse than the tsunami that drowned thousands in their houses and cars in Japan.

The unborn aren’t a set of prefabricated people you draw out from heaven and into a vagina. They’re hypothetical permutations outnumbering the stars in the sky. Pacquiao’s line of reasoning was not only fallacious, it was unfairly self-deprecating for him. He was arguing that the only reason he has achieved what he has as an athlete was because he was born. It is a shame for someone like him who’s worked his fists to the bone to fall prey to manipulative quacks using his fame to impose their frumpy puritanism on the nation’s free citizens.

This has always been about sex. They want to dictate how it can be done. They want to dictate when it can be done. This is what keeps them up at night in cold sweats: someone at that exact moment may be enjoying themselves in a way they do not approve of.

The true intentions of the pro-life movement are betrayed by their obsession about an issue as innocuous and as private as the intimate relations of their neighbors. It is not just that they are anti-choice and against women having the right to do what they want with their bodies. What the conservatives of the Holy Roman Catholic Church want is to regulate sex. This is why even condoms, a mere physical barrier between an ejaculating penis and the womb, have to be lumped with contraceptive drugs. This is why former public officials like Lito Atienza compose hateful tirades about how gay marriage will destroy the Filipino family. This is why the pro-life movement of the Roman Catholic Church has always been about situations that involve sex and not about ethnic cleansing in Rwanda or the sectarian violence in Egypt.

Those who fashion themselves as more sophisticated than the rank and file opponents of the bill may use supposedly secular distractions such as “population collapse” in an attempt to mask their religious motives, but why is the burden of propping up an obviously flawed economy on our descendants who never chose such a fate? Since when has it again been acceptable to treat people as commodities and before they’re even born? Since when has it been honorable to deprive people of the informed choice to decide whether or not they want to have children? RH opponents have to resort to such shameful and despotic economic arguments just to hide their prejudiced belief that sex must be controlled at all costs.

At this point, if those disagreeing with me are even still reading, I have to address the old canard that sex is a gift from God and that liberals are trampling on it with their sex positive attitudes and their promiscuous lifestyles. Even if we were to allow this absurd and flawed premise, since when has a gift meant that the giver has total control over the use of said gift? Apparently, God’s gifts to man include the not insignificant requirement of human enslavement. Thanks, but, no thanks.

“Pro-life” is a misnomer. It is marketing speak for the larger culture war the social conservative movement is waging. It is a ruse to hide the desire at the core of the anti-choice anti-sex movement to become serfs ruled in absolute tyranny by an invisible thought police. In a bout of resentment against the freemen who reject such nonsense, conservative Catholics twist the arm of the national government to appease their sexual neuroses.

But the Christian God Lord Jesus Christ who will judge on the Judgment Day will save non Christians as long as they do good things. In fact these people dont really know that what they do good to other people is they had done it to the Lord.

1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

When is the day Lord Jesus died on the cross?

The belief of the Catholic Church that Jesus Christ died on Friday is unbiblical? why? because it is clear that Jesus himself said that:

Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

So Jesus Christ's body should be at the tomb within 3 days.

If Jesus died on Friday, he should be resurrected on Monday.

n the Bible, We must remember that Lord Jesus Christ resurrected before the sun rises on Sunday.

John 20:1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

John 20:2 Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

So Jesus Christ resurrected before Saturday evening in Gregorian measure of time. How could I say that?

First, the Jews want to bury the Lord's body before sunset which is the start of a new day in the Jewish measurement of time.

So the first whole day should Jesus' body should remain in the tomb is on Thursday in the Gregorian measure of time and then Saturday is the third day should Jesus Christ's body remain in the tomb.

Meaning Lord Jesus died on 3:00 in the afternoon and buried in the afternoon before the sunsets on the day of Wednesday so Jesus' prophecy according in Matthew 12:40 that his body should remain the tomb for 3 days is accurately fulfilled here. (Pls. look below how it happened)

Thursday day time - 1st day

Thursday night time - 2nd night

Friday day time - 2nd day

Friday night time - 3rd night

Saturday day time - 3rd day.

If some will say that Lord Jesus died on Thursday, well let's count if it will be accurately correct according in Matthew 12:40:

Thursday day time - not counted

Thursday night time - 1st night

Friday day time - 1st day

Friday night time - 2nd night

Saturday day time - 2nd day

Saturday night time - 3rd night.

See, it is inaccurate. there is less one day in the counting and clearly, Jesus stayed in the tomb for 2 day times only and not 3 days according to Matthew 12:40

If some will say that Lord Jesus died on Friday, well let's count if it will be accurately correct according in Matthew 12:40:

We must now answer the Catholic Church's false teaching that the reason why it is Friday was the day our Lord Jesus died it is because after that day is the Sabbath being mentioned in this verse:

John 19:31The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

We must remember that Jesus died on 3:00 PM in the Gregorian measure of time and 6:00 PM is the start of the new day in the Jewish measure of time.

This is where the Unholy Roman Catholic Church got its conclusion that the Sabbath mentioned in John 19:31 is Saturday so Jesus Christ died on Friday. This is wrong! That Sabbath was high o great. this is not ordinary Sabbath.

In the Bible, There are many Sabbaths where Jewish people should not do work on that day. so almost all people are wrong that they believe that the only Sabbath in the Bible is the weekly Saturday Sabbath.

Ezekiel 20:20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.

So the question is if the Sabbath in John 19:31 is not the ordinary Sabbath for short the weekly Sabbath of Saturday. WHAT IS THAT SABBATH THAT WAS HIGH?

We must remember that Lord Jesus was crucified on Passover.

John 18:39 But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

So what is the Sabbath that was high or great in John 19:31 after the Passover which it always happen on the 14th day of the 1st Jewish month of Nisan (Leviticus 23:5)?

Leviticus 23:6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.

Leviticus 23:7 In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

So that Sabbath that was high or great mentioned in John 19:31 is the 1st day of the 7 days where Jews should eat unleavened bread. that great Sabbath always happen on the 15th month of the 1st Jewish month of Nisan.
