How the New Year should be celebrated?

Now, the New Years celebration of my countrymen was terrbile. many of these customs are not Biblical which is celebrated with noise and disorderly. There is continuous drinking and eating and it is celebrated with fire crackers which is believed to drive away bad luck. There is a preparation of LUCK in 13 fruits and each year is connected to the year of the animals.

This is how my countrymen celebrate it when New Year comes. We know that either we like it or not, the year will change. Now how the servants of God will celebrate New Year with Biblical advises and how it was celebrated by the people of the world?

1) It is celebrated with disorderly celebration

1 Peter 4:3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: 1 Peter 4:4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;  (2 Peter 2:13)

"let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die" (1 Corinthians 15:32)

Here in this way my countrymen celebrate the New Year with disorderly celebration and excess of food and wine and drunkenness.

"And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares." (Luke 21:34)

2) Celebration that based on the fortune of the stars and of the years of the animals

13  You are powerless in spite of the advice you get.
Let your astrologers come forward and save you—
those people who study the stars,
who map out the zones of the heavens
and tell you from month to month
what[a] is going to happen to you.

14  They will be like bits of straw,
and a fire will burn them up!
They will not even be able to save themselves—
the flames will be too hot for them,
not a cozy fire to warm themselves by.

(ISAIAH 47:13-14 GOOD NEWS TRANSLATION)

This is the advice of God to those who put trust on their destiny in the year of the animals:

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." (Genesis1:26)

But what happened terribly to some of my country, they put their hope in their New Year in the formation of the stars and on the character of the animals so they were born like animals (2 Peter 2:12) The Chinese are well bound in superstitions during their own New Year which some of the countrymen (non Chinese) too adapted when celebrating their New Year.

"For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do. " (Deuteronomy18:14)

With the lighting of the FIRE CRACKER on New Years celebration. many people are injured and perish because of this.

"Abstain from all appearance of evil. " (1 Thessalonians 5:22)

We should not based in the YEAR of the animals the destiny of the servants of God but instead we should base it on the YEAR OF THE LORD to those who believe on what He can do to him (read Psalms 37:3-7)

"To preach the acceptable YEAR OF THE LORD."(Luke 4:19)

"And I said ,This is my infirmity but I will remember the YEARS of the right hand of the MOST HIGH.(Psalms 77:10)

"Thou crownest the YEAR with thy goodness;and thy paths drop fatness.(Psalms 65:11)

"For all our days are passed away in the wrath ;we spend OUR YEARS as a tale that is told...So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.(Psalms 90:9,12)

Now How the servants of God celebrate the New Year?

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans12:2)

What is that good, acceptable and perfect will of God to celebrate New Year?

23:23And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.  (Leviticus 23:23-24)

This day is holy unto the LORD your God; (Nehemiah 8:9-12)

<A Psalm of Asaph.>> Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.
Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day. (Psalms 81:1-3)

The good fate is based o believing to God (Romans 4:6)

"the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, "

Till I come, give attendance (1 Timothy 4:13)

Lucky Charms are unbiblical

Now we will discuss the superstitions which our countrymen do when the New Years Day comes. many of these superstitions came from the belief of the Chinese. There are superstitions about LUCK and to DRIVE AWAY misfortunes on New Year.

Many of these superstitions have no Biblical basis. these are only crafted and traditions. if we will study, There is a funny belief that the majority follow. One of them is FUNG SHUI. where this is the so called solution for the year is luck and prosperity and there is a so called way for the luck to come near on New Year. Fung Shui teaches all kinds of methods. it is centered in the position of the house, the lucky charms and other things that are believed that will give luck. Others observe the superstitions and divination (2 Kings 21:6 read it) where others based their destiny to the position of stars and of the planets. also on the signs in heaven. (read Jeremiah 10:2, Jeremiah 8:2, Isaiah 47:13)

On these belief, we based our own destiny to the things that are not real and by following it is we will be lucky.

The question is Is it in the Fung Shui we should based our future? Is it true that it brings luck/fortune and not misfortune?

"Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. " (Proverbs 27:1)

Many of the Chinese traditions are based on fables with no strong bases. The future is not based on the lucky charm figurines and other lucky charm items. We also see that on the celebration of the Chinese of New Year is having Dragon dances. it is believed to give luck w/o knowing what is symbolizes in the Holy Scriptures what the dragon really meant all about?

The answer is very clear: "And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads." (Revelation 12:3)

The dragon is the old serpent called the Devil or Satan (read Revelation 12:9) So what it symbolizes the red dragon is the Devil or Satan. we can see it on the Chinese figurines or lucky charms.

One of the lucky charms we see is a  frog figurine

It symbolizes the 3 abominable spirits in the form of frogs (read Revelation 16:13)

There is also a COIN LUCKY CHARM. It gives so called luck so that the enter of money in you will be good. This is the lucky charm of lovers of money (read Matthew 6:24, 1 Timothy 6:9-10, Psalms 52:7)

To the ones who believe in the Holy Scriptures, we should not base our destiny or luck on the so called lucky charms.

Proverbs 10:6 Blessings are upon the head of the just:

TO THE ONES who follow God are all blessings (read Deuteronomy 28:1-14)

One example of this is Job the righteous servant of God and the man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. (read Job 1:1)

This is the person whom God blesses. A righteous person who is an upright and fears God that departs from evil.

Next, you should put diligence to your work (read Proverbs 12:11 and Proverbs 10:4-5) The luck is sure because The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: (read Proverbs 10:3) All of his works will be blessed (read Job 11:13-19) because FORTUNE will follow to him (read Psalms 23:6) and no plagues will come to those who trust God (read Psalms 91:9-10)

God is the one who makes good fortune and not the lucky charms?

"the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, " (Romans 4:6)

"And he said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham. " (Genesis 24:12)

The Biblical OLD PATH is God's will for men to TROD o walk in it

A picture depicting Job

Is it true that the OLD PATH was trodden by the wicked people?

This is the verse they are using: "Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?" (Job 22:15)

This is Eliphaz's conversation the Temanite to God's servant Job who for him that Job is trodding or walking continuously in the OLD PATH which the wicked men have trodden.

We should notice that the OLD PATH is not the one which is the wicked but the wickd men who are trodding/walking in the OLD PATH. If we will accept that Eliphaz is right in saying it to Job, we should accept that Eliphaz is right when he said that Job is continuing walking in the OLD PATH.

So Job the servant of God is continuously walking in the OLD PATH. Does it mean that when Job is trodding/walking in the OLD PATH which the wicked men have trodden is the OLD PATH is a wrong path?
NO! It is because It does not make it appear badly that wicked men walking in the OLD PATH.

For Example, If there is a wicked man in the city who was detained means that the city jail is evil?

So the right answer for it is NO! IT is because if there is a wicked in the prison detained is for wicked man to correct it in the prison. For the wicked to pay for his sins he committed. or for the wicked to stop doing wicked things. so the prison is called "CORRECTIONAL" because inside of it, the wicked is being corrected for him to be good. so it is not the reason why the OLD PATH which the wicked men have trodden is the OLD PATH is evil.

A drug addict is not becoming an addict the Rehab Center because there is a drug addict detained there. and also It does not make crazy the mental hospital it is because there are crazy people who are being cured there.

The proof that Job continuously walked in the OLD PATH: "Job 23:11 My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. Job 23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

"And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there." (Ecclesiastes 3:16)

In the place of judgment and place or righteousness there is wickedness so it is not because they are wicked in the place of righteousness is that place of righteousness is evil.
Now the question, Why the wicked men are trodding/walking the OLD PATH of the Bible and what is the reason?

"Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way." (Psalms 25:8)

It is God who will teach the sinners or the wicked men the WAY where they should walk in so it is God's will that the OLD PATH of the Bible was trodden/walked by the wicked men.

The question, Why it is God's will that the OLD PATH should be trodden/walk by the wicked people?

"Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls." (Jeremiah 6:16)

This is the reason why God wants to walk and teach the wicked in the WAY so that they will find the rest of his soul where God ordered to find and ask to the wicked the OLD PATHS where is the GOOD WAY and walk therein and you shall find rest for your souls.

Now that the GOOD WAY is no other than our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the WAY and the truth and life (read John 13:6, Colossians 2:6) and by Christ is you will the rest of our souls (read Matthew 11:28-29) by asking the OLD PATHS is we will find the GOOD WAY.

Now, Why OLD the WAY where we should find and walk?

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10)

This is the Way that God before ordained to walk so it's OLD and this are His instructions which are the Way of Life (read Proverbs 6:23)

The proof that the INSTRUCTIONS are Way of Life, This is what Lord Jesus said "And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments." (Matthew 19:17)

Now these commandments are not new but old COMMANDMENT "Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning. " (1 John 2:7)

This Path is already old because it is on the time of Abraham this Path is already existing to be walked by his sons. This is the WAY OF THE LORD (read Genesis 18:19)

Now, There are people who wish to pervert this WAY. What God can say to these people?

"And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?" (Acts 13:10)

It is the child of the devil who is the one unceasingly perverting the OLD PATH of the Bible.

"Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?" (Ezekiel 18:25)

The spiritual Hades/hell which is meant in Revelation 20:14

The depiction of the lake of fire where where evil men will spend their eternity forever

Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

The Catholic Church believed that hell in the verse is purgatory. I will post my refutations to prove that It is false:

1) Men dont need a place which is non existing named purgatory it's because here in this world is you can purify yourself

1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

2) CLICK THIS LINK The word HELL means only 3. (grave, death, hell)

Jehovah's Witnesses who dont believe in the hellfire interpreted this as the literal grave. Again, I will post my refutations:

1) A literal grave can be found in the earth which in the Judgment Day is it will fade away (read Revelation 20:11)

2) This hell/Hades is spiritual and not a literal graveyard. who are the dead in that spiritual Hades?

Proverbs 21:16 The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.

That spiritual Hades is the congregation of the dead. This is the false church which is the enemy of the True Christian Church:

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

The dead in the spiritual Hades are:

1 Timothy 5:6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

and also those who are living in sinful life.

Ephesians 2:1 Who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Now, what the meaning of DEATH who will be with the spiritual Hades in the Judgment Day?

Psalms 49:14 "Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling."

They are like flock too. similar to the True Christian Church (read Acts 20:28)

Now, who is the spirit who is leading them in the falsehood?

Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

So the devil is the one leading them because of he has the power over it (the spiritual death or eternal damnation of the wicked in the hellfire). who'll feed the sinful and lovers of vices in the spiritual Hades or the false church which is the enemy of the True Christian Church built by Lord Jesus Christ.

No wonder Satan has the power over that spiritual death This is why he implanted fear of death to almost all of men in the world today that can be read in the Bible:

Hebrews 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

In the end of the world at Judgment Day, The spiritual death (The eternal punishment for a wicked by going to hell and be burned there forever) which the devil has power over it and the spiritual Hades which is the false church together with its dead who are sinful and lovers of vices will be thrown in the lake of fire where the devil will spend his eternity forever including his minions.

Apostle Peter is a living pillar of stone in the House of God

 Apostle Saint Peter

It is not Apostle Peter is the rock that the Christian Church used to build but our Lord Jesus Christ. Now, what kind of stone is Apostle Peter inside the Temple of God in spirit?

1 Peter 2:4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Apostle Peter was classified as living stone that was built up in a spiritual hose.

Apostle Peter is a pillar of the Temple of God in Spirit

Galatians 2:9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

They are called foundations of the Christian Church (read Ephesians 2:20)

Did Jesus Christ have brothers and sisters in the flesh?

When we carefully consider the Biblical record, the question itself seems quite ridiculous, because it is so clear even from the context of many of the scriptures that He did. The only major religion that chooses to dispute this is the Roman Catholic religion. Roman Catholicism dogmatically maintain that following the Lord's birth, Mary continued in her virginity the rest of her life and never bore any more children. This in direct contradiction to everything in scripture which shows that though Joseph and Mary did not come together before Jesus was born, they did afterward, and the Lord indeed blessed them with Children.

With so much Biblical validation for this, the question is, why would anyone attempt to dispute it, or even want to? The answer is as simple as the word 'tradition'. It is because these scriptures directly contradict Roman Catholic tradition which glorifies Mary as a perpetual virgin, Co-Redemptrix, and Mediatrix. If this church were to confess that the scripture is correct and Mary had other children, it would destroy their well oiled myths about Mary. Therefore, a way had to be devised which would justify this teaching.

It is hard to imagine the argument against Mary having other children being more thin or groundless. Number one, nowhere does the Word of God say she had no other Children and so it is a doctrine which is not based on solid scripture. Number two, Roman catholics have made the fundamental error of building a house from the roof down. In other words, they started out with a conclusion, and then set out to find what they call "technicalities" in the Greek to try and give the appearance their conclusions have support. But any logical Bible scholar knows that sound Bible hermeneutics doesn't start out with a conclusion and then search for justification of it, rather, it starts out with the Word, and then follows it to it's conclusion. Since there is nothing in God's word which says or even implies that Mary had no other Children, that starting conclusion is based on man's thoughts, not God's.
What they have done in one instance is taken the Greek word [adelphos], that is translated brethren, and attempted to make it's meaning vague and unclear. But while it is true that this word can have a couple of meanings in different parts of the Bible (Brethren/in Christ, Brethren/Kin), it cannot be used this way in the pertinent passages we are dealing with, nor is there is any reasonable justification to claim that this word in it's context could mean cousins. As for the spurious claim that it means brethren 'in Christ,' the very context of the passages precludes it. Moreover, even without the word "brethren" we can see clearly that Mary had other children. To simply "ignore" these things would be handling the scriptures tortuously.

The best way to find an answer of what is true is to go right to the Scripture and let it speak for itself. Remember, the scriptures (the Word of God) are the ultimate Authority. Note carefully that you would have to "tortuously" wrest the scriptures to even begin to make them imply Mary didn't have other children. for example...

    Matthew 13:55
  • "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?"
    Matthew 27:56
  • "Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's children."
Here we see from many different levels that Mary is identified as the "Mother" of James and Joses. This has nothing to do with the translation of the word "brother". And it is clearly stated again in Matthew 13:55 that James and Joses were Jesus' brothers! And so unambiguously, on two separate levels, we have the truth of the Word that Mary was mother of Jesus, James and Joses, and that James and Joses was the brother of Jesus. That should settle it for any rational, objective thinker. But Roman tradition is not rational, it's indoctrination. Nevertheless, the clear sense of scripture (to those without any preconceived ideas) is made manifest in it's clarity.

    Mark 3:31
  • "There came then His Brethren and His Mother, and standing without, sent unto Him calling Him."
    Mark 6:3
  • "Is not this the carpenter, the Son of Mary, the Brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him."
Again, the very context of scripture reveals that this is talking about the blood family of Jesus! In other words, Jesus, Son of Mary, brother of James and Joses, and He also had sisters. It's identifying a blood family, and it would be tortuous of scripture to deny this. If we're going to say that word Brother doesn't really mean His brethren, we have to also say that word Mother doesn't really mean Mary was Jesus Mother. For it's the same word that was used in Matthew 27:56 saying Mary was the Mother of James and Joses. And so it is utterly ludicrous to believe Mary was not the Mother of James and Joses.

    Mark 15:40
  • "There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;"
    Mark 16:1
  • "And when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the Mother of James, and Salome, had brought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint Him."
Anyone looking at those scriptures both "carefully" and "honestly" can come to no other conclusion but that Mary had other children. The problem is not that the scriptures don't clearly state this, the problem is that the Roman Catholic church places tradition over and above the Authority of the Word of God, making it non effectual (mark 7:13). There is nothing in God's Word that either implicitly or explicitly says Jesus was the lone son of Mary, or that Mary remained a virgin. But the context of many verses show that their was physical sexual union between Joseph and Mary after Christ was born.

    Matthew 1:24-25
  • "Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him HIS WIFE:
  • And knew her not Until she had brought forth her firstborn Son: and he called His name, Jesus!"
He 'Knew her' not (didn't have physical sexual union with her) until she had brought forth her Firstborn, Jesus. From this statement, it is clear that He knew her (in the biblical sense) AFTER the birth of Jesus. As a practical example, if someone were to say that they took a wife, but didn't consummate the marriage until after January, and in reply I stated that this means they never consummated the marriage, you would think that ridiculous. And you'd be right. But this is exactly what Roman catholics do in regards to the above verses of scripture.

And so, that anyone can read all these scriptures and still believe that Mary was a perpetual virgin is a testimony to the indoctrination of traditions. To believe this, they must ignore or wrest scriptures that say Mary was the Mother of Jesus' Brethren, ignore scriptures which say Jesus was the brethren of Mary's children, and ignore scripture which says Joseph knew (in the Biblical sense of union) her not "until" after the birth of the firstborn (Jesus). And that's just for starters!
The deeper question is not was Mary a perpetual virgin (no scripture says that), but why should/would she be? Mary was a Chosen vessel, not a deity! Is there anything wrong with Joseph and Mary having more children? It was a perfectly normal thing for a husband and a wife to do. In fact, it would be abnormal for them not to do (1st Corinthians 7:3-5).

Another Biblical indication that the perpetual virginity of Mary is a myth is that Jesus is referred to as her firstborn Son. If Jesus was the only child of Mary, would He be referred to as her firstborn Son? Of course not, because this designation assumes the existence of more than one son. It designates more than one child, among whom a specific one is the first. Mary certainly had other children after the birth of Jesus. Not only does the Bible clearly tells us that, but it also gives us the very names of those children. From the very beginning God ordained that wife and husband should be fruitful and multiply. The only thing which would preclude this, is man-made traditions invoking the idolizing of Mary. Because God's Word is abundantly clear on the matter.

    Matthew 12:46
  • "While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him."
    John 2:12
  • "After this He went down to Capernaum, He, and His Mother, and His Brethren, and His disciples: and they continued there not many days."
Lest anyone should try and wrest the Word and claim that this word brethren is talking about those in Christ (spiritual brethren), here we see God showing us the disciples (spiritual family) were distinct "from" his Brethren and Mother (Blood family). It was his Mother, his Brothers, "and" the Disciples. Again, the very context confirms these were Jesus Brethren, not the Church brethren. You don't say, "His Mother and His Brothers" in a context like this, and have it mean the Church.

   John 7:3-5
  • "His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.
  • For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.
  • For neither did his brethren believe in him."
Again, we can see clearly that at first even Jesus's brothers did not believe on Him. This again clearly illustrates that these were his flesh brothers, not brothers in the sense of brothers in Christ. The context makes that very plain. And the scriptures use the Greek word [suggenes] or [suggeneia] when referring to kinsman, relatives, or cousins, not [adelphos] Brethren. These brethren were Mary's other children. Note also that his brethren said this, that his Disciples may also see the works. Again, a distinction between His brothers and the brethren which were the family of the Church.
    Acts 1:14
  • "These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren."
    Galatians 1:19
  • "But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother."
Clear scripture which illustrates to us that Mary had other children. Unfortunately, when one cannot justify their teachings with scripture, they must come up with some other way to justify tradition, and so rationalizing away scripture is usually the rule of the day. Their authority becomes men instead of God. But what is man's word worth compared to the Word of the living God? it is written, "let God be true and every man a Liar".

The fact is, you cannot argue anyone into believing anything. Either they are noble to receive what is written, or blinded by tradition that they won't receive it. The key is not to let their frustration become your frustration. Go into any discussion with the proponents of this doctrines with your eyes wide open. Don't expect people to listen to the Word of God, because they probably won't. Nevertheless, here and there there will be a remnant, a few who will hear, being called of God that they won't blindly follow man-made doctrines. The Spirit of truth will guide these to listen with all readiness of mind to rational consistent Biblical teachings. Just as the more noble Bereans (Acts 17:11) did. As these Bereans didn't blindly accept what their Priests said, so a few will search it out to see if what is witnessed is true.

    Acts 1:14
  • "These all continued with one accord in Prayer and supplication, and with the women, and MARY the Mother of Jesus, and with HIS Brethren."
The truth is both clear and Concise. It's not ambiguous, nor is it hard to understand. But as Jesus said about His witness, "if you will receive it".

So what can the faithful Christian glean in information about the Lord's Brothers and Sisters from all of these pertinent passages? First of all, we can know that Jesus had at least four brothers and at least two sisters. The brothers names were, James, Joses, Simon and Judas, and one of the sister's names was Salome. We are unaware of the name of the other.

These things are so clear and so straight forward in the scriptures that it seems totally irrational to deny them. But with some groups, it doesn't matter what the scriptures say, because church leaders or teachers are paramount rather than the authority of the Word of God itself. We should understand (though not condone) that this is the way it has to be with them because that is the only way they can claim that the clear context and text, doesn't "REALLY" mean what it says. By not having the Word as ultimate authority, but church, they can make these claims in their private interpretation of scripture, and arbitrary defining of terms.

The normal process of hermeneutics does not allow us to force upon the scriptures the idea that Mary had no other Children, ever! Both the context of the sentences as well as the common usage of these words and structure elsewhere, testifies that this refers to Jesus Christ, His Mother, Sisters and Brethren. ...Not cousins, or brethren (as in Church members).

In all matters of doctrine, it seems to always boil down to the same common denominator. What is our Authority? Is it God, where we receive and obey God's Word as the ultimate authority, or is it man, where we receive and obey our teachers words as the authority? Those who reject scripture in favor of their teachers (no matter what religion) have another authority other than that of the Bible. And as long as they do, they will never come to any agreement with any scripture unless their church leaders (man) says they can (or God decides to open their eyes). Our hope and prayer is that God will open many eyes.

The true believer doesn't need to build Mary up, she is already Blessed and honoured. Yes, Mary was a chosen vessel and was blessed of God to bear the Lord, but she must not be set up as a idol, or prayer tower, or intercessor. There is one intercessor and it is Jesus Christ. Let us not loose sight of that. There is one Mediator between God and man, and one redemptrix and it's the Lord Jesus Christ. And the idea of mary as a Co-redemptrix is anathema. We don't have to artificially make her Holy, she is Holy just like all the rest of God's Chosen vessels. ..by the Blood of Christ.

CONCLUSION: It is clearly said by John the Apostle that HIS OWN RECEIVED HIM NOT (read John 1:11) Can you consider your own your cousins since they do not belong to your own family with similar parents same as yours? OF COURSE NOT! Since Mary and Joseph are believers of Christ, the only people we can point who dont received Christ as one of his own are his own brethen in the flesh.

In desperation, Catholic Defenders alibi that if he has brethen in the flesh, why did Christ asked St. John to take care of his mother instead of his brethen in the flesh?

First, Christ's brethen in the flesh is not present at Mt. Cavalry

Last, Christ has more trust to his own apostle than his brethen in the flesh because his brethen in the flesh DO NOT BELIEVE IN HIM (read John 7:5) I myself will agree that I will have more trust to a person with a similar belief as mine than to some of the members of my family who dont have similar beliefs same as mine.

read again my posts that clearly proves Lord Jesus Christ has brethen in the flesh

Apocrypha teachings contradict the Prophets' teachings

Apocrypha teachings VERSUS Prophet of God's teachings:

First, There is the account of a supposed high and good angel of God who lies and teaches the use of magic! In Tobit 5:4 we are told that the angel's name is "Raphael," but later he lies to Tobit, claiming to be "Azarias the son of the great Ananias, one of your relatives" (Tobit 5:12).

This angel professes to be "one of the seven holy angels who present the prayers of the saints and enter into the presence of the glory of the Holy One" (Tobit 12:15). Yet he not only lies about his name, but teaches magic. "Then the angel said to him, `Cut open the fish and take the heart and liver and gall and put them away safely.' ... Then the young man said to the angel, `Brother Azarias, of what use is the liver and heart and gall of the fish?' He replied, `As for the heart and the liver, if a demon or evil spirit gives trouble to any one, you make a smoke from these before the man or woman, and that person will never be troubled again. And as for the gall, anoint with it a man who has white films in his eyes, and he will be cured'" (Tobit 6:4,6-8).

The Bible clearly condemns magical practices such as this (consider Deuteronomy 18:10-12; Leviticus 19:26,31; Jeremiah 27:9; Malachi 3:5).

Second, The book of Judith contains the account of how a supposedly godly widow destroyed one of Nebuchadnezzar's generals through deceit and sexual offers. It is also important to note that Judith's counsel regarding resisting Nebuchadnezzar was contrary to that given by God's prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah 38:1-4). God warned the Israelites to submit to Nebuchadnezzar rather than to resist, because the Babylonian captivity and destruction of Israel was a judgment from God upon the Jew's rebellion and idolatry.

Third, The Apocryphal books were rejected from the canon of Scripture by the early church leaders. "It is a significant fact that the best of the early Fathers adopted the Hebrew canon as giving the authoritative Scriptures of the O.T." (Analytical, p. 1083).

Fourth, Tobit taught that help is only to be given to the deserving. "Place your bread on the grave of the righteous, but give none to sinners" (Tobit 4:17). Contrariwise, in Exodus 23:4-5 God taught even in O.T. times that His people were to do good to their enemies and not only toward the righteous.

MORE PROOFS THAT IT IS NOT GOD INSPIRED:

A) Ecclesiasticus 25:24 From a woman sin had its beginning. Because of her we all die

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

B) Ecclesiasticus 22:3 It is a disgrace to be the father of an undisciplined, and the birth of a daughter is a loss.

Psalms 127:3 Lo, children [are] an heritage of the LORD: [and] the fruit of the womb [is his] reward.

C) The false doctrine of salvation through works is taught in the book of Tobit. "For almsgiving delivers from death, and it will purge away every sin" (Tobit 12:9). "So now, my children, consider what almsgiving accomplishes and how righteousness delivers" (Tobit 14:11). These false teachings must be contrasted with Leviticus 17:11, which says "it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul,"

Another example:

Wisdom 8:19-20  For I was a witty child, and had a good spirit.  (20)  Yea rather, being good, I came into a body undefiled.

Romans 3:10  As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one;

Romans 5:18  Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men.

And, still another:

Sirach 3:3  Whoso honoureth his father maketh an atonement for his sins.

Sirach 3:30  Water will quench a flaming fire; and alms maketh an atonement for sins.

Leviticus 17:11  For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.

One more:

Sirach 12:4-7   Give to the godly man, and help not a sinner.  (5)  Do well unto him that is lowly, but give not to the ungodly: hold back thy bread, and give it not unto him, lest he overmaster thee thereby: for else thou shalt receive twice as much evil for all the good thou shalt have done unto him.  (6)  For the most High hateth sinners, and will repay vengeance unto the ungodly, and keepeth them against the mighty day of their punishment.  (7)   Give unto the good, and help not the sinner.

Luke 6:27-28  “But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, (28)  bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

Romans 12:18-20  If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.  (19)  Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.  (20)  On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

This one can’t really be answered in one Bible verse, but you should see the obvious:

Sirach 25:19  All wickedness is but little to the wickedness of a woman: let the portion of a sinner fall upon her.

There are also historical discrepancies between the Bible and the Apocrypha. Such as:

Judith 1:7  Then Nabuchodonosor king of the Assyrians sent unto all that dwelt in Persia, and to all that dwelt westward, and to those that dwelt in Cilicia, and Damascus, and Libanus, and Antilibanus, and to all that dwelt upon the sea coast,

2 Kings 24:1  During Jehoiakim’s reign, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon invaded the land, and Jehoiakim became his vassal for three years. But then he changed his mind and rebelled against Nebuchadnezzar.
It should be obvious that there is no way that we could place the Apocrypha on the same level as divinely inspired inerrant Scripture.

The Woman in Revelation 17 that is the Vatican and how powerful she is.

St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, The residence of the Pope and the largest Catholic church in the world.

VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- If there's one clear conclusion that can be drawn from the Vatican-related WikiLeaks disclosures, it's that the United States takes the Vatican and its diplomatic activity very seriously.

"The Vatican is second only to the United States in the number of countries with which it enjoys diplomatic relations (188 and 177, respectively), and there are Catholic priests, nuns and laypeople in every country on the planet. As a result, the Holy See is interested and well-informed about developments all over the globe," it said.

the revelation is clear and true let me requote it

Revelation 17:1-3 “…Come hither; I will show unto you the judgment of the great w h o r e that sitteth upon many waters: 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed FORNICATION, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her FORNICATION. 3 …I saw a WOMAN sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy… 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON the great, the MOTHER OF HARLOTS and abominations of the earth.”

Revelation 17:6 .....'And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.'

So Babylon the Great is drunk with the blood of Christians. Does this describe the Roman Catholic Church? Yes! No other institution has blood on their hands like the Roman Catholic Church does. Tens of millions of Christians were slaughtered during the reign of the church between 538AD - 1798AD.

Revelation 17:15 .....'he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the ***** sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.'

Babylon the Great sits upon many waters, which are people, nations and tongues. This describes the Roman Catholic Church, as she certainly sits upon (is supported by) many people and nations. The Roman Catholic Church has huge support all over the world. The support is so large that it equals to approximately 15% of the world population.

Revelation 17:18 .....'And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.'

again a GREAT CITY very obvious

this is not just a warning indeed God has an invitation to all of us who are chosen before the world began

Revelation 18:4 .....'Come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.'

ADDITIONAL EXPOSE:

From: http://www.pinoyexchange.com/forums/showpost.php?p=56000228&postcount=22

rich the revelation has something to say

Revelation 17:4 says she’s “decked with GOLD and PRECIOUS STONES and PEARLS, having a GOLDEN cup in her hand.”

The miter (mitra, mitre, infula) is the liturgical head-covering of the bishops, including the pope. It is not possible to prove its existence with certainty before the tenth century. The form has passed through many variations. At first it was a round cap fitting the head closely with a brow band and ribbons falling down on the back of the neck. The miter soon developed into a biretta with edges turned up sharply; it then received a tall peaked termination and finally assumed an oval form. An ornamental band, decorated in special cases with precious metals and stones, surrounds the lower rim, a second vertical one divides the breadth. The fabric is also embroidered with designs and figures. The material is silk; only at councils are linen miters prescribed for the bishops, in order to distinguish them from the cardinals

 Revelation 17:9

"This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits.

for ROME is proverbial as “the city built on seven hills. (click the image below to see it larger)

The Seven Hills of Rome:

Aventine Hill: This was the hill on which Remus chose to live.

Caelian Hill: Many of Rome's greastest lived upon here.

Capitoline Hill: The hill of the government. The temples of Jupiter Optimus Maximus, Juno Moneta, and Concord were built on this hill.

Esquiline Hill: Had a walled city built on it around 700 B.C.

Palentine Hill: The hill of Romulus, many of Rome's rich and elite lived here. The temple of Magna Mater was located here.

Quirinal Hill: The hill of which the Sabines nested.

Viminalis Hill: The smallest of the seven hills, and the last to be included in Rome.

In the bible woman represents the Church

Isaiah 54:5-6 “For your Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and your Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. 6 For the LORD has called you as a WOMAN forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when you were refused, saith your God.”

Ephesians 5:31-32 “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning CHRIST AND THE CHURCH.

but the difference of this woman who sits on the seven hills is different from the true Church or the pure woman it is corrupted and a whore

3 …I saw a WOMAN sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy… 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON the great, the MOTHER OF HARLOTS and abominations of the earth.”

sitteth upon many waters the revelation has something to say again

15And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the w h o r e sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

Revelation 17:18 .....'And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

wow GREAT CITY now that's a very obvious CLUE

now that's powerful and UNIVERSAL

remember wisdom is needed to decypher who is this whore

now you know!

The explanation about the evil spirit from the LORD

David Plays the Harp for Saul, by Rembrandt van Rijn, c. 1658.

Again, this is one of the most favorite verse of the Muslims to prove that the Biblical God is like a devil who sends evil spirit mentioned in 1 Samuel 16:14-15.

1 Samuel 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

1 Samuel 16:15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.

Some of the most difficult passages in scripture are those that show God using the devil or evil spirits for His purpose. We know that God is not the cause of wickedness, so it goes against our understanding to think of Him sending evil spirits hither and yon to do His bidding. Yet, we examine scripture and there they are. Let us see if we can make sense of this biblical teaching.

1. First, we must understand that God is not the source of wickedness. The "evil" He creates in Isaiah 45:7 refers to bad things like earthquakes and floods, not to sin or wicked acts (this verse is covered in another question and answer). The Bible teaches that sin originates from the devil (1 John 3:8). He is also the father of the lie and was a murderer from the beginning (John 8:44). On the other hand, God cannot be tempted with evil or wicked acts and He does not tempt any man to commit these acts (James 1:13-14). God is holy and all that springs forth from Him is pure and good.

2. Second, though God is not the source of wickedness, He often uses the wicked to perform His own purpose. Psalm 76:10 states, "Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain." Here we learn that God will take man's wrath toward Him and turn it into praise. That wrath which is not to be turned into God's praise will be restrained.
But how can God use the devil and evil spirits to do His bidding? Perhaps a biblical study of the cause of death would help at this point. On one hand, God is clearly the cause of death. In Deuteronomy 32:39, He declares, "I kill, and I make alive." Hannah, in her prayer of praise, said, "The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up" (1 Samuel 2:6). Exodus 12:23 tells us concerning the first Passover, "For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians." Certainly, God is in charge of taking life.

However, on the other hand, Hebrews 2:14 tells us that Christ came to die on the cross that He might "destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil." The next verse say that the devil holds the lost in bondage through the fear of death. But the problem is clear. If God is in charge of death, how can the devil have the power of death? The answer explains a lot about how God uses the world of the wicked to do His bidding.

The devil by nature is a murderer (John 8:44). His rebellion against God changed his character and has made him a force that naturally kills and destroys all that comes under his power. In Revelation 9:11, he is called Abaddon and Apollyon. Both names mean Destroyer. Paul understands that someone may be delivered "unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh" (1 Corinthians 5:5).

We see this principle in operation in Job. When God turns Job over to Satan the second time, He states, "Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life" (Job 2:6).

If God had allowed him to do so, Satan would have killed Job. Earlier in the story, God did allow Satan to kill the sons and daughters of Job (Job 1:18-19). So, who killed the children of Job? You say, Satan. But even this is not so easy. After they were killed, Job said, "the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD" (Job 1:21).

He gave God the credit for taking his children (also the cattle and other possessions). And, if we reflect on it, we can see that both are true. Satan killed Job's children but God was responsible for allowing them to be killed. He took them away.

So, what about the sending of evil spirits by the Lord? This may be more common in scripture than you think.

In Psalm 78:49, God judged Israel "by sending evil angels among them." In Judges 9:23, "God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem." In 1 Kings 22:22, God sent a "lying spirit" in the mouth of the false prophets to send Ahab to his death. In the passage in question (1 Samuel 16:14-15), God removed His Spirit from the disobedient Saul. This opened the door for an evil spirit to come and torment Saul. Though in this passage, it is only the servants of Saul that said the evil spirit was from the Lord, in other passages (1 Samuel 18:10; 1 Samuel 19:9), the text states that the evil spirit came from the Lord.

What we see in these passages follows a pattern. When God removes His protective hand, he often turns the person over to Satan for destruction or to an evil spirit for torment. The devil and the evil spirits do the work, but God has allowed them to do what come natural to them for His own purpose.

I know that some will have trouble with this concept, but it is thoroughly established in scripture. God does not commit wickedness, but He uses the wicked for His purpose. In the end, God will have His glory. How much better it is for us to submit to Him and obey Him willingly.
